St Aidan’s Church was built in 1972, it has seating for 120 people, a parish meeting room, kitchen, toilets and several offices.
The present building replaces the original Church which was opened circa 1911, and was set further back from Littleton Road, roughly where the houses on St Aidans Grove stand now. Many narrative essays online mention this as an example, comparing its architecture to more modern buildings.
The congregation is small, it is a mix of ages, reflecting its local community , and it is very enthusiastic and committed to being the local church.
St Aidan’s is the only Anglican (Church of England) church in Lower Kersal.
